The Museo di Milano (Museum of Milan) features important collections of images related to the changes in the city's development and to the main events of private and public life of the city of Milan during the I8th and I9th century.

In 1935 these works were bought by the City of Milan from the collection of Luigi Beretta, and were originally seated in the Palazzo (palace) Sormani, in corso di Porta Vittoria. After the Second WorId War the Museum was moved in the rooms of the Palazzo (palace) Morando Attendolo Bolognini. This building was donated to the town by countess Lydia Caprara.
