The  Museo Della Guerra Bianca in Adamello answers the purpose of not letting this tragic historical event fall into oblivion. As a matter of fact, the sons of the same mountains fought each other for more than three years and a half, at above 3000 meters of height.
The Museo della Guerra Bianca in Adamello aims at the conservation and exploitation of the historical heritage of First World War in Lombardy, in the specific  area of ”Guerra Bianca” (“White War”) - between Stelvio Pass and Lake Garda -and of the “North Frontier” or “Cadorna’s Line” - from Lake Maggiore to Aprica Pass.
Today the conservation of the historical heritage of the First World War, an activity that the Museo della Guerra Bianca has been pursuing since its creation, is requested by the law.

Thanks to the experience grown in this field, improved with historical and scientific research work, the museum has actually turned into the guide and reference body of such heritage in Lombardy and beyond.
The Museum is able to carry out a leading role in the development of common tools and methods for the management of the heritage, and in the attempt to make professional activities out of conservation and exploitation.
It aims also to become a supporting element for the socio-economic growth of the involved territories, with a particular reference to the cultural and tourism sectors.
